Join Our Team of Volunteer Directors for the 2026 Season

Are you a visionary storyteller with a passion for theatre? FCCT is excited to announce that we are seeking volunteer directors to bring fresh, dynamic productions to our stage as part of our 2026 season. This is your opportunity to shape the future of our theatre, inspire audiences, and leave your creative mark on our community.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have a clear artistic vision.

  • Are ready to propose specific shows that align with our mission and resonate with our audiences.

  • Possess the creativity, dedication, and organizational skills to bring their vision to life.

Submission Details:

Applications are now open. Your application should include:

  • The production you wish to direct: Share the title and a brief summary of the play.

  • Your artistic vision: Explain your concept for the production, your approach to staging, and how you plan to engage audiences.

  • Why this production is a great fit: Describe how your proposal aligns with the mission of FCCT and why it would resonate with our patrons.

Proposals that showcase creativity, thoughtful planning, and a deep connection to our theatre’s mission will move forward in the selection process.

The Selection Process:

  1. Proposal Review: A panel of board members and our Artistic Director will review all submissions.

  2. Interviews: Selected directors will be invited to an interview with the Artistic Director and board members. This is your chance to:

    • Elaborate on your artistic vision.

    • Highlight your directing experience.

    • Outline your approach to collaborating with cast and crew.

  3. Final Selections: Directors will be chosen based on the strength of their proposals, their interview performance, and how well their vision fits within our 2026 season goals.

Why Volunteer for FCCT?

  • Collaborative Experience: Work with a talented cast and crew to bring your production to life.

  • Professional Growth: Gain valuable experience directing in a community theatre setting.

  • Community Impact: Contribute to the cultural richness of Central Texas by inspiring and entertaining audiences.
